Yinlips’ unknown gadget uses E-Ink, an iPad look-alike
E-readers are starting to grow as time passes, and this product is not an only an e-reader, but also tries to emerge in the market with a design similar to the already world famous iPad. There is no accurate name has been given to the new gadget yet, but it is developed by Yinlip. The iPad look-alike will be a very interesting addition to every gadget collection since this company has a precedent in making small and practical devices that have a tendency to become very popular in a short period of time.
The major difference between this Yinlips unnamed gadget and the iPad is the screen, which is not the traditional LCD we’ll find on Apple products. Instead, it has a 6-inch E-ink screen that supports 800 x 600 pixels resolution tops. It even supports a huge array of formats, some more popular and some that we rarely use. It does look extremely similar to the iPad that Apple has recently launched, but the fact that it has an E-ink screen can be a minus for some.
Other specs mentioned on iMP3 are the battery life, which can go as high as 20 hours, the WiFi connectivity and the e-book and photo viewing support. The multitouch on Apple’s larger iPhone is definitely a bonus for the iPad but it would be interesting to see the price tag of the Yinlips anonymous gadget.
No news about that price yet, nor an official date for an international release, so hopes are still low at the moment.
