Thanko’s USB-powered shortwave radio

Thanko Raremono surprises us again with what the company claims to be the world’s first ever USB Shortwave Radio. Apparently, the USB powered radio primarily enables users to tune into shortwave signals while it can also be used as a regular AM/FM radio.USB-shortwave-FM-and-AM-radio-for-easy-recording-of-radio-stations-450x313

Basically, the Thanko USB Shortwave Radio acquires power from a PC by connecting it on the USB port. It’s also intended for convenient and direct recording of radio stations into MP3 or WAV formats. The unit also has an external antenna jack while the software provides actual tuning for the shortwave radio.

The initial plugging of the device into a PC will already draw audio signals from the AM/FM or shortwave stations after installing the software. It would also enable users to schedule various recordings on different frequencies.

The Thanko USB Shortwave Radio is ideal for consumers who fancy to digitize and save their favorite songs from various radio stations. Those songs will then be stored on the unit’s integrated gar drive. While internet  radios require an internet connection, the USB Shortwave Radio doesn’t need such.

You can grab your Thanko USB Shortwave Radio at the company’s online store for only $45.
