Panasonic Avionics’ In-flight entertainment and connectivity systems integrated to Turkish Airlines’ selected planes

Travelling by plane is not always productive or lucrative, so some entertainment and extra connectivity while high up in the skies is always welcomed by busy businessmen/businesswomen as well. And so, Turkish Airlines have recently integrated the eX2 IN-Flight Entertainment and Global Communications Suite systems from Panasonic Avionics on some of their carriers. With this decision, Turkish Airlines will be a leader in offering its passengers an integrated in-flight entertainment and communication system that truly raises the bar for in-flight experiences.

The Global Communications Suite from Panasonic Avionics consists of a few components that are built to make the experience of every passenger better while flying. It will allow Turkish Airlines passengers to connect to broadband, VPN or voice networks with the eXConnect. It will also allow them to talk anywhere in the world through the eXPhone component. However, the integration of this Panasonic Avionics Suite will definitely add a few bucks to Turkish Airlines ticket prices.

Lucky passengers that will have the chance to fly with one of the 12 Boeing 777-300ERs or with one of the ten Airbus A330-300 planes from Turkish Airlines will even have access to the Panasonic Airborne Television Network. This component grants access to news, sports and special events around the world to the passengers that need live information even when flying.

Panasonic Avionics and Turkish Airlines recently signed the contract, so these new technological improvements will be available on the mentioned planes by the last quarter of 2010.
