Marketed as the most advanced processor of the x86 type AMD has to offer, the Magny-Cours or better known as the Opteron 6100 Series has been announced to have already started shipping and would be made available for their OEM partners and could be arriving in the market earlier than announced.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon platform was featured at the Mobile World Congress and it shocked a lot of people because of it’s capabilities and it’s speed that just blows people away and the best part of it is the support for the latest technology that you can’t quite find on other platforms.
Samsung announced that it will demo its first long term evolution or LTE netbook, the Samsung N150, at this year’s Mobile World Congress. Samsung’s very own LTE modem chipset, dubbed as the Kalmia, is what provides LTE capability to the mentioned netbook. Followed by the recent unveiling of the commercial LTE dongle, the manufacturer continues to be one of several leading next generation mobile technology providers.

IBM is gearing up to launch Power 7 their own processor that will compete with the Intel Core chips and will be a successor to the amazing Power 6 and would be packing enough power to make you think twice before going Intel all the way for your processing.
Intel is constantly coming up with interesting innovations onto the market and recently, the well-known chip manufacturer rolled out the new 2010 Core vPro processor family, designed to meet the needs of businesses. The processors are based on the company’s “Nehalem” microarchitecture and manufactured on the 32-nanometer process. Intel also has integrated high-definition graphics in its processors for the first time, and incorporated their own second-generation high-k metal gate transistors that help increase computing speed and battery life.
