John Grisham Agrees on E-book

The biggest bestseller of all time finally agrees to an e-book revolution!

John Grisham had some opposing concepts about e-books before. He is concerned that neophyte authors would have difficulty on publishing themselves through the internet.

I don’t seem to get it! With the evolving technology, e-book publishing may eventually compete with the traditional publishing models. E-book creation is cheaper in ways that there is no distribution cost and  turnaround time is faster as the authors can easily upload their work and the readers can simply download it. Authors can quickly send their manuscripts to different publishing sites such as Amazon Digital Text Platform, Smashwords, Scribd, Lulu, and Sony Publisher Portal.

There may be few setbacks with e-book publishing platforms but we could still find ways! An author of an e-book can apply restrictions to his book. He can limit the downloading of an e-book for a single purchase, and the amount of devices to which the e-book can be transferred. The popularity of e-books is growing faster and aspiring authors may have their bestselling break through self-publishing platforms. Interesting isn’t it? Authors may find this new route much better than the traditional paperback publishing!

Sony VAIO M, Budget Laptop

Sony just launched its newest mini-notebook!

Sony’s latest Vaio M is a 10.1-inch widescreen netboook, which runs with a 1.66GHz Intel Atom processor and features PineTrail Architecture. Vaio M is quite bare and far from last year’s luxurious Vaio W with chiclet keys. Yeah! It’s the new budget-friendly Vaio released in the market!

The new Vaoi M has a 1GB RAM with a respectable 250GB hard drive.  It is preloaded with numerous Vaio software and Windows 7 Starter Edition. It is practically light at 1.4kg with supplied 6-cell battery rather than the usual 3-cell. Hopefully, its battery life could last up to 8 hours! The screen has a 1024×600 display with LED backlight. Connectivity ports include WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 and three USB ports. Sony had also equipped a Motion Eye camera, stereo speakers plus mono microphone for great video chatting. Not bad, isn’t it?

Sony has to cut off few goodies to match competitors so it came up with the “affordable” Vaio M. This is not the typical Sony Vaio that people drool for Vaios!  Try looking at its specs, I bet it also works a lot like the usual Vaio standards anyway. What do you think?
