Netflix Makes Life Easier for Wii Users; No Disc Needed
Nintendo Wii owners, no longer shalt thou be weary of having to use a disc to stream “Watch Instantly” Netflix content, because as of Monday you can join other console owners in the no-disc required territory.

That’s right. You can now access streaming video on your Wii simply by downloading a free Netflix app from Wii Shop Channel. It will then install the necessary option to access the stream library on your Netflix’s account.
According to Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, the simplified Netflix access will help bring families together more quickly. We’re pretty sure he’s not talking about getting mom and dad back living in the same house after a bitter separation that left the children traumatized — but we digress. The no-disc feature will be a God send to apparently more than 3 million Wii systems connected to Netflix. The PlayStation 3, of course, received the same good news just last week.
Unlike Blockbuster, Netflix keeps flexing its muscle as it recently sealed a licensing deal with NBC Universal to stream hit shows like Battlestar Galactica, SNL, and 30 Rock.
