Interact with Real Cats Online
The Internet is about to get some new cat superstars. No, we’re not talking about lolcats, as these cats are pretty much real and alive. Thanks to the wonder of technology; you can interact and purr-lay in real-time with cats and kittens online. All together now – awww.

Play with cats over the web.
The company behind the technology is Apriori Control, which works closely with the Oregon Humane Society and Idaho Humane Society. The iPet Companion software allows people to interact with animals sheltered at Human Societies with the help of some robotic hands and control. The application currently only works with Internet Explorer and can be downloaded for free. So those using Chrome and Firefox are out luck for now.
To play with the cats, you can simply head over to either the website of Idaho Human Society Companion page or the Oregon Human Society one – and there will be a “Let’s Play” paw button for you to click. After downloading the necessary software, you will get a number and wait for your turn. Each person will get to play with the cats for two minutes by controlling various toys and changing the camera around.
The technology is actually developed for a good cause. They aim to increase awareness about the shelters and find real homes for the abandoned cats. That’s always a win in our book.
