Long has been Best Buy
synonymous with electronic gadgets among shoppers. After all, it is the largest retailer of consumer electronic goods — by sales — in the US. Yet, across its 108 stores across the country — one cannot quench one’s thirst for a tablet device but from one company — the Apple iPad
. Gone soon will be the day when you are faced only with one tablet option, as Best Buy is pledging to make the device its focus this coming holiday season.
The electronic superstore will make tablets a priority.
That’s not our words, but the words of Best Buy Mobile president Shawn Score. He wants to make Best Buy the go to place when it comes to customers wanting to get tablets. And he expects the store to stock all the right ones.
However, he didn’t mention any specific brands or models that are heading the company’s way except that there will be multiple models. One model that is most likely to appear on Best Buy is its house brand — Rocketfish. There have been several Twitter posts and pics indicating the existence of the tablet offering from Best Buy.
As for other tablets, we can expect tablets from Motorola, Acer, RIM, Samsung and many more in the last quarter of the year.
