T-Mobile Gets RIM Blackberry Curve 3G
The world might still be waiting for the launch of Blackberry Torch, but it isn’t the only device that RIM hopes can lure smartphone users. The new Blackberry Curve 3G, announced today, will be available soon in the U.S. teaming up with T-Mobile.

The new Blackberry Curve 3G will be available for T-Mobile.
The Blackberry Curve 3G is an improvement from the 8520 series. Mainly, as the name suggests, it will support 3G connection on GSM networks. This is the first on the mid-range Curve model to feature 3G. Since it is GSM-based, you can pretty much use it anywhere else in the world while travelling.
Though it will only ship with Blackberry OS 5.0, you can expect the device to support Blackberry OS 6.0 upgrade. The new OS has been getting praise as a step in the right direction for RIM, as it offers a less-cluttered look, functional home screen, universal search and a notification drop-down menu for simpler multitasking.
The new Blackberry Curve will still retain its 320 x 240 resolution and 2.4-inch display, and a touch sensitive optical trackpad. It has 256 MB of memory and microSD card slot for up to 32GB.
No price has been set yet by T-Mobile, but it should be very affordable – as the Blackberry 8520 was offered for $50 with a contract back then.
