Russian RoverPad Tablets Raid the Tegra, Android & WinCE OEM
The Russian Company Rover Computer just recently release a five model tablet/ MID range and by the looks of it, the designs were really guessing if there’s a whole lot of rebadging that are being done with the said tablets.
Well, the various RoverPad models vary from 5- to 7-inches in screen size and that they are said to run on either the Android or Windows CE; processors would include the basic Samsung, Marvell and RockChip ARM CPU’s along with NVIDIA’s Tegra on the RoverPad TegA W70.
The TegA W70 actually looks like a rebadge of the Compaly Tegra Tablet that NVIDIA showed several times and can be viewed in their official site, while the other models are reference designs and OEM hardware onto which Rover Computers have slapped their logos on
The Smallest table is the RoverPad Go G50 that comes with a 5-inch WVGA touchscreen display and is said to work under the Android 1.5; it has WiFi, GPS and 3G connections along with a microSD card slot and USB connectivity as well.
The RoverPad TegA W79 on the other hand is probably the most interesting of the bunc because it comes with an HDMI output, WiFi, 3G, 4GB flash drive and is said to work under the Android 2.1 OS and has a 512MB of RAM. It has a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display and touts a webcam. Although the tablets are announced and are released out in the public, there is still no word out about the pricing of these five new awesome devices.
