HTC foresees 33% Profit Increase Thanks to Android
HTC today announced that this Spring quarter was the best one that they ever had in a couple of years and its all thanks to Android; the smartphone producer somehow saw its un-audited net profit and it somehow indicated a 33% jump compared to last year’s results that sums up to around $268 million.

HTC Spring Quarter Profit Increase Thanks to Android
The pure revenue somehow grew to 58% and indicates nearly around $1.9 billions. Executives did not give any word as to how many phones have been shipped but, some time in late April, it had predicted around 4.5 million phones would arrive during the spring season and that much of the rise can be all credited to the android phones and its role as a producer of “halo” devices that somehow draw customers to carriers.
Further, several significant outside factors could significantly impact HTC’s future in the next several months; Motorola’s Droid X and later Droid 2 could oust HTC from the top spot as the reigning Android smarpthones that are in the market today; in connection, any possible iPhone for Verizon and other CDMA carriers could also quickly undermine HTC by no longer giving it shelter from Apple with certain carriers.
