Apple, Confirms no microSIM swapping between the iPhone 4 and the iPad 3GS
As we all know, there are only two devices that are being circulated in the market today that uses the smaller microSIM format and it does come to shame, knowing that the Apple company has confirmed that swapping the cards between the iPhone 4 and the iPad WiFi+3G would somehow not be possible.
As what Apple UK’s FAQ for the iPhone 4, while the smartphone utilizes or is being provided—in the UK—with a microSIM and is offered unlocked in the market, technically speaking, your OLED iPad’s microSIM would definitely not work with your iPhone devices.
With this confirmation, being able to have a single iPhone 4 contract which is inclusive of a data plan as well, and then having it switched to microSIM between the smartphone and the 3G-enable tablet would somehow makes you rather want to be paying up for a separate data on the latter part of it all.
Also, given that the UK carriers seem to be clamping down on the mobile data allowances in the run down to the launch of the iPhone 4’s launch, it would most probably getting through much content on 1GB of Data or below, but the US iPad 3GS owners who jumped onto the AT&T true-unlimited data package that may be disappointed for not being able to use the microSIM in their iPhone 4.
