Malcolm Barclay is the developer of this new UK-based application NextBuses. He merely sold over 200,000 copies of iPhone applicatios such as Tube Deluxe, Tube Status and London Bus. He is really into transpo applications!

This new innovative app would deliver your iPhone information on when the next bus is arriving or if it’s really on its way. NexBuses conveys data to your smartphone from over 370,000 bus, coach and tram stops throughout England, Scotland and Wales. iPhone users could readily read bus information depending on their location, postcode or general locality. The application is licensed from Traveline’s NextBuses Services in which they already operate through SMS and WAP forms. Barclay also revealed that he shares a small cut of his income with the Traveline, a national association of regional transport operators and local authorities.

There are still few setbacks with his new application. It’s not that accurate to tell when the next bus is coming or if it is running right on time.  We still have to wait as Barclay is yet on his way to set more real-time data on this new application. TRDG5BQZKNMX
