Lenovo’s W701, W701ds, X201, X201t and X201s notebooks gets Intel Core i7 upgrade

Lenovo has been very busy unveiling and surprising us with its numerous new computing systems. Now, the firm has announced that it has expanded its “X” and “W” line of ThinkPad notebooks with the freshly included, or should is say upgraded W701, W701ds, X201, X201t and X201s models. Lenovo continues to provide consumers with faster, smarter and more powerful ThinkPad laptops represented by the newly announced models. Integrating the latest technologies along with several Lenovo features, these fresh PCs deliver simpler yet productive computing experience.

Lenovo’s “W” series of portable workstations are becoming such serious threats against other competitors available in the market, mostly with the addition of two new models, the W701 together with its dual-screen version, the W701ds. Each of the two notebooks will run a powerful CPU allowing users to redesign or create their projects faster. The first will have an Intel Core i7-820QM model while the latter will sport an Intel Core i7-920 Extreme processor. Other feature remains the same for both models.

Meanwhile, the Lenovo ThinkPad X201, X201t and X201s notebooks are still the same when it comes to their preserved features. But they will also be upgraded with the same Intel Core i7 central processing unit, making them transform into much faster ultraportable devices. The ThinkPad X201 weighs around 3 pounds and the X201t and X201s are about 2.5 pounds.

The Lenovo ThinkPad W701 notebook will sell for $2,199.00, the W701ds model for $3,799.00, the X201 notebook at $1,199.00, the X201s for a price of $1,599.00 and the touch-enabled X201t costs $1,549.00.
