Omnivision OV5647 Chip

Omnivision aims to change the world of cellphone cameras with their new chip the OV5647 that’s small enough to not affect the phone structure but powerful enough to give phones digital camera quality photos and video capture abilities that may reduce the need for a separate device.
The Omnivision OV5647 is a cellphone chip that would enable the device to possess a powerful camera with up to a five megapixel CMOS sensor that’s capable of not only taking ordinary cellphone quality pictures but 1080p video capture as well at thirty frames per second or a 720p video at sixty frames per second with increased sensitivity as well as an evident improvement in signal to noise ratio. The chip will also provide the cellphone camera the ability to capture 10 bit images in RAW RGB format which has not been achieved before for cameras of this size.
Cellphone cameras will soon be changed to match digital cameras in caliber and the changes will be effective as early as July of this year which is already quite soon to enjoy a powerful camera on a ordinary cell phone.
