It has always been a dream for most aspects of the tech world to have one format to rule them all and Ocean Blue has the same dream and the format they want ruled is the Digital TV software format which has disrupted compatibility for digital tvs for the longest time.

Ocean Blue Software wrote a paper on how the European Digital TV scene would be better off with one software standard to follow than have all these formats floating around or everyone to use and when it comes to compatibility, users have to go and buy converters, adapters and what-nots just to get one device, function, media playing on another device, function or media and it is creating unnecessary cost that could be avoided with a unified software that would rule other software formats and create an environment of focused development rather than distributed development.

This is a dream that Ocean Blue does not claim as it’s own as many other manufacturers and developers have wanted the same result for a long time now and the digital tv industry is just one of the many aspects of tech that has been crowded by different formats, even the music industry is crying for one music format to rule them all.
