Sony BDP-S570 HDMI 1.3 with 1.4 Features
The Sony BDP-S570 Blu-ray player is one of the lead contenders in the 3D market with regards to Blu-ray players but recent official announcements about it just pushed it farther into the lead as a negative aspect of the device was cleared out to be nothing more than a labeling issue.
The first time the Sony BDP-S570 was announced, a lot of negative inputs were given regarding the HDMI 1.3 output that many understand as a limited bandwidth connection to any High Definition device providing slightly lower quality than the more up to date 1.4 connectivity but according to Greg Belloni of Sony, the difference is only with the version number when it comes to performance because their device can have as much as the what the HDMI 1.4 can offer but they left it with the HDMI 1.3 version because of the potential of the 1.4 not being fully met by most devices like the Sony Blu-ray player.
Sony promises to give consumers the 3D experience they were looking for in full 1080p HD resolution without sacrificing performance and image quality because of bandwidth issues or any other issue revolving the HDMI 1.3 connector.
