YouTube gets Content Management Functions

YouTube is one of the most used video streaming and sharing sites in the entire web and because of that all assortment of people of all sexes, ages and races find their way to the website and with all the interaction going on in the site you can’t avoid disrespectful people posting offensive comments and content.

Because of all the feedback YouTube has been receiving regarding the offensive content and mature material that may not fit the interest of all viewers, they decided to put in content control functionality that will make it a lot friendlier to use and provide children a safe environment to watch their favorite videos on. The new system allows for the screening of sexual content, violence and offensive comments from being seen but the system is not as perfect as they let it out to be because a lot of the content still get through but I’m happy to see the effort they are giving the development of the social networking aspect of the video streaming site.

The function works by activating the Safety Mode setting which searches and hides potential offensive material found in videos and comments. It is an activated option allowing those mischievous YouTube enthusiasts to still experience all the offensive content.
