LG’s new KM555e Clubby music phone, Corby killer?

Mobile handset manufacturers are beginning to target teens by releasing several cool and trendy mobile phones since young ones are easily impressed by these handsets’ fun features. One company would be Samsung with its Corby family, which proved to be quite successful with the aforementioned segments. And now, LG is about to follow with yet another fun-filled handset unit, the KM555e Clubby mobile phone.
The main music-related feature of the fresh LG KM555e Clubby mobile phone is that it provides built-in support for LG’s Music Club track download service, which brings music right to the user’s handset in a fast and easy manner. Unlike the Corby, which offered a plethora of features targeting the specific needs of teens, the KM555e Clubby handset is a pretty plain mobile phone equipped with a 3 inch touch screen TFT LCD display boasting a resolution of 240 x 400 pixel, as well as a 3 megapixel camera.

Moreover, the KM555e Clubby mobile phone also packs Dolby Mobile tech on board, for an enhanced quality of the audio playback experience. Also, the handset grants access to a host of other features, such as MS office, PDF, Text files support and up-to-date audio and video codecs, including MP3 playback support and a radio. It will be available in three different color options namely black, purple, and/or silver.

The KM555e Clubby mobile phone can be purchased for the equivalent price of around $329.

However, it seems that the Clubby has only appeared on the Korean company’s Russian website, which might indicate the fact that this will be one of its prime-targeted markets. But it is also probable that the KM555e will also make an appearance on other Eastern and Central European markets as well.
