Toshiba’s latest Portege series inclusion, the M780 tablet PC
Toshiba’s Portege series is one of the first to include mini-notebooks and this time, provides a very practical solution for avid workers that are always on the go. The new Toshiba Portege M780 model is the perfect solution for hard working men and women in the business field, whether they are traveling to another business location or during lunch time. For them, the Portege M780 unit is a more up-to-date solution.
The Toshiba Portege M780 features a swivelling 12.1-inch touch screen display with a maximum resolution of 1200 x 800 pixels. This allows users to work faster and better, high visibility and easy access to the computer from any comfortable position is also achieved. Users will probably need the Windows 7 Touch Gestures, which designers and sketchers find useful. So, it runs windows 7 operating system on a Core i3 or Core i5 CPU.
The new M780 tablet PC from Toshiba can also have up to 8 GB capacity of DDR 3 RAM memory at 1066 Mhz frequency and its SSD hard drive is protected by the Toshiba 3D Accelerometer technology. It has eSATA and two USB 2.0 ports for connecting to other mobile gadgets.
Among other safety measures that Toshiba has applied to this model, the anti-spill protection is worth mentioning, which is only designed for the keyboard of the M780 Tablet PC. The M780 is a little bit heavier than other models of its kind, because of the DVD SuperMulti +/- R DL. It weighs about 2 kilograms.
The Toshiba Portege M780 will be available in Q2 2010 in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
