Blu-Ray, Wal-Mart’s new Featured Product
The rise of the Blu-Ray trend is a band wagon everyone is riding on for 2010 and as a business dedicated to providing a one-stop shop for everything you need, Wal-Mart is not going to stay behind while others profit from Blu-Ray so they went up and invested on the new technology and showcased it.
Wal-Mart is your place to go for good products at a cheap price and as an aggressive marketing move they went on forward and invested on high definition video formats in the form of Blu-Ray products. This is just an example of what the tech market in America is pretty much doing as other business have also started investing in the Blu-ray experience throughout the country. Soon Blu-ray discs will be available at a drive away from your home. Wal-Mart has been a staple basis for what American consumers demand and seeing Blu-ray products on their shelves only mean one thing, Americans are aware of Blu-ray and want it in their homes.
This year Wal-Mart plans on opening Blu-Ray experience areas in their stores in the entire country that will be highlighted with the Blu-ray logo, featuring Blu-ray players and of course sell Blu-ray discs with Blu-ray movies. Basically everything Blu-ray will be available and would be previewed on high definition screens.
Best Buy may have cornered the market first but through 2009, Wal-Mart has been gaining speed on it and with the dawn of the new year we can expect the race to be a little tighter as their sales meet at a 30% market share each.
