Velocity’s new and inexpensive Micro NoteMagix V10 netbook
Another netbook option is offered by Velocity for those who want to purchase a unit but has limited budget. The Velocity NoteMagix V10 netbook offers no cutting-edge features but does present a decent performance for typical computing usage.
The Velocity NoteMagix V10 netbook offers a 10.2 –inch WXGA wide screen display with 1024 x 600 pixels native resolution along with a built-in web camera with 1.3 megapixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.60GHz Intel Atom N270 processor and runs Windows XP Home SP3. It has 1 GB capacity of memory and 160 GB capacity of hard drive spinning at 5400 rpm.
Connectivity includes WiFi 802.11 b/g, 10/100 ethernet, three USB 2.0 ports, VGA port, audio out and mic in. It also has an integrated 4-in-1 memory card reader which supports SD, MMC, memory stick and memory stick pro. There is also an integrated standard keyboard with 85 keys, touchpad mouse with scroll keys and audio support courtesy of the integrated stereo speakers.
The 3-cell Lithium-Ion battery keeps the system running while the whole netbook measures 1.2 x 9.7 x 2.6 –inches and weighs 2.6 pounds.
The Velocity Micro NoteMagix V10 netbook sells for only $279 and you can preorder at the company’s product page. According to the site, shipment would probably be on 17th of this month.
