The fact that these are created with the intent of doing damage on your computer or even your personal life; it is something you should always look out for. Reports from PandaLabs, a research institution of anti-malware company Panda Security states that a new variant of Koobface worm is spread through suspicious postings on Facebook, The links or postings takes the users to an embedded fake video player that offers some sort of Christmas greeting, to keep up with current seasonal events to make more exploits. If you attempt to open the embedded video, it results to either rendering your computer useless, or it will be inoperable. When you attempt to reboot, the malware shows CAPTCHA image that threatens you to reboot your computer within the span of 3 minutes. The malware removal is still on process, but a typical person will have hard time to figure it through. Facebook expects more attacks to come because social sites are mostly targeted, with a total of 2% web traffics.
