OCZ integrates with Symwave to build a high-performance USB 3.0 SSD
Reports suggest that OCZ have already integrated with Symwave to build a solid state drive that can deliver extreme performance which is based on the new USB 3.0 specification standard. The drive is claimed to be an ideal solution for users who demands robust technology with leading-edge capability.

According to Eugene Chang, Vice President of Product Management at the OCZ Technology Group, the external solid state devices or SSDs delivers 10-folds the transfer rate of the USB 2.0 technology at 5Gb/s. The SSds are also eco-friendly accompanied with superior power management and lower CPU utilization. And this was possible due to the integration of Symwave’s industry leading USB 3.0 storage controller. Chang also added that they are determined being forefronts of the market by offering products with unmatched performance, design and reliability to further promote the potential of flash-based storage system.
Symwave Vice President of Marketing, John O’Neill also stated that the incorporation of their USB 3.0 controller with OCZ’s SSD technology are both designed for uncompromised performance which apparently an ideal pair. The company is also committed on delivering silicon software solutions that will eventually change how consumers look at utilize USB storage devices.
The USB 3.0 SSD will be showcased at the Consumer Electronics show (CES) 2010.
